Q-CHEM WINS QATARIZATION AWARD

Qatar Chemical Company Ltd. (Q-Chem) has won the Qatarization Crystal Award 2013 in recognition of the company’s achievements in students’ sponsorship. The award was presented by HE the Minister of Energy & Industry and Chairman & Managing Director of Qatar Petroleum, Dr Mohamed bin Saleh Al-Sada, to Q-Chem’s General Manager, Ahmed Ibrahim Al Emadi at the 14th Annual Qatarization Review Meeting of the Energy and Industry (E&I) Sector which took place on 19th May 2014.

The coveted Qatarization Crystal is awarded annually to E&I companies that exhibit excellence in Qatarization. The award covers seven key criteria; vocational sponsorship, undergraduate program, recognition, planning, educational progress, monitoring, and initiatives. “This prestigious award is a result of hard work, dedication, and commitment of Q-Chem team and it’s testimony to the efficiency of our continuous Qatarization efforts” said Al Emadi. The award reflects Q-Chem’s strategic goal to Quality Qatarization. Over the past two years, Q-Chem has developed a sponsorship program that highly encourages students to avail themselves of opportunities available at Q-Chem. The process was designed to provide sponsorship packages to students in various disciplines from different academic institutions. “We’re grateful to the local universities who worked closely with us on orienting and developing students with respect to their future careers” Al Emadi said. He continued “Our efforts continue and we monitor and follow up with each student until the graduation. This is an integral part of the sponsorship program in order to ensure its success.”
